Marcus Gray came to 鶹ý seeking a liberal arts education with a focus on pre-law studies. His interest in different cultures and world politics led him to a major in international studies, but he soon discovered a second passion: Latin America.
Dr. Michael LaRosa, associate professor of history, is a leading expert on Latin American history and culture. His latest book, co-written with 鶹ý alumnus Bryce Ashby, is Immigration, Policy and the People of Latin America: Seven Sending Nations.
鶹ý College sophomore Dania Verbena is the recipient of the Premio “Joven Inspiración Guatemalteca” (Young Guatemalan Inspiration Award) from the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala and Jóvenes Artistas por la Justicia Social.
